How did we meet? Funny you should ask... Even though both of us are from Utah, our story begins on the east coast where we were both called as missionaries to the Baltimore, Maryland mission. Sam left in July 2007 and myself in June 2008. Although we served in the same mission, the only association we really had was at soccer game on one fateful P-Day. We are both competitive by nature and the ball happened to get kicked between us. We both ran to the ball as fast as we could... needless to say I accidentally tripped Sam’s leg! He ended up on his back, holding his leg screaming in pain. He got the the worst Charley horse i have ever seen! His leg looked like it was having a seizure! I felt so bad and the worst part was that he wouldn't talk to me or come around me afterward at the BBQ .. I was convinced he hated me...Okay Morgan thank you for that version of the story. Now let me tell my side of the story. It was towards the end of the game and we were behind. The sun was in my eyes (as well as my sweat) and I had one chance to get to the ball so i took it. I ran as fast as i could and inadvertently stepped on a banana peel and fell to the ground...there was that no tripping or convulsing of my leg... yup. Just a well placed banana peel... Actually, it went down more like she said, even though in her version it sounds like i got a beat down! Which I probably did... Haha. Thanks Sam for your side of the story. It really was an accident! Anyways, I thought that he really hated me after that. Then he went home about 4 months later and I came home a few months after him. About a year later, to my surprise I saw a message from Sam in my email inbox! He asked for my number, we had our first date, and the rest is history...
